If there is anything you should know about me, it has to be my support and advocacy for the fight against breast cancer. And as we all know, October is officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This Sunday, October 4, 2015, I am honored to co-host an event with Lane Bryant and the American Cancer Society at their Culver City, CA location—and you’re invited!
I’ve shared many times about how breast cancer took my aunt’s life when I was 19-years-old. Her passing made a huge impact on my life. I will never forget her laughter, feisty personality, and bravery. I miss her every single day.
Thanks to organizations like the American Cancer Society, there have been dramatic improvements in cancer research, treatment and early detection. Millions of women are surviving breast cancer today because of it. And at this event, three breast cancer survivors are going to receive makeovers courtesy of Lane Bryant. I can’t wait to meet them!
From 11 A.M. to 1 P.M., shoppers will also have a chance to shop exclusive items that give back to the cause. There will even be giveaways every 30 minutes! I really hope to see you there!
If you’re in the Los Angeles area, please make some time on Sunday and join us as we fight against breast cancer! Learn more about breast cancer here.
