Busy! Busy! Busy! That’s been the story of my life lately. And with all of the traveling I’ve been doing, it seems there’s never any time for well…anything. Especially, anything in the beauty department. How many times have you been flying coast to coast and wished you had stopped to pick up your favorite face wash or even just got a quick mani and pedi? If you’re traveling via the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), you’re going to love the beauty insider info I have for you!
I was given a special tour of the beauty hot spots, courtesy of LAX, of the Tom Bradley International Terminal. It’s located between Terminal’s 3 and 4. And as long as you have a valid and current boarding pass with proper identification, you can get your shop on! This is great for anyone who has time to spare before or in-between connecting flights.
Duty-Free Shop (DFS)
DFS, located in the heart of the Tom Bradley International Terminal, is basically a mini-mall of beauty amazingness. Yes, there are restrictions on what domestic travelers versus what international shoppers are allowed to purchase. Check out their FAQ’s here for all of the information. I can tell you that if you are in need of your favorite high-end beauty brand, then more than likely you’ll find it here. I spotted Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Smashbox, Benefit, Lancome, Bobbi Brown and so many more. Believe me, they have your makeup, skin care, and fragrance needs covered. If you’re a frequent DFS shopper, make sure you join their Loyal T by DFS Membership program which offers special access, benefits and privileges to its most loyal customers.
Have you ever been walking to your gate, clutching your neck, and wishing you could get a quick massage before your flight? Wish no more…just make sure to stop by any XpresSpa and get one. I was quick and happy to get a 15 minute Neck & Back Massage ($35) and it was wonderful. I may have drifted off to sleep for a second. Besides massages, they also offer skin care, nail care, waxing, and some hair services. And they also have a XpresSpa Membership program you can join for free!
Bliss is a personal favorite of mine and I was really happy to see it in this terminal. And they have a pretty decent selection of their products. We tried a few of them, including one from their Triple Oxygen collection. Which is pretty amazing by the way. I do want to pick up the Instant Energizing Eye Mask. I think it’d be great for this puffy-eyed traveler. Just saying. I actually think they’d have quite a few things perfect for that skin pick-me-up after hours of flying.
Last but not least, you can’t forget about getting your LAX shop on at Fred Segal. It is the unofficial L.A. boutique…OK…I made that up. But, I feel like it could be true. They always have the trendiest and unique stuff—and lots of exclusives you won’t find anywhere else. And I heard they receive shipments daily, so you won’t miss out on anything. In the beauty department, they offer skin care brand OSEA Malibu and a lot of other favorites. Oh…and you just might bump into a celebrity when you’re shopping here!
Disclosure: I received a complimentary gift bag and beauty services. Any and all opinions in this post are true and my own.
