I like to think I have my own special relationship with Latina Magazine. I’ve been a reader since it’s launch and have been around through all of it’s changes. It has transformed so much over the years. So, when they asked me to be a part of their Latina Style Wars feature, I didn’t hesitate to say yes! Are you kidding me? I was honored to share my plus size style with their readers. If you read the magazine, you know that this feature is all about how style trends are worn by different women. And in the April 2016 issue, we take on raincoats!
I want to first thank my talented friend Jeshua Viveiros for taking the photos and helping me out. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t have a raincoat on hand. I had to order one. We don’t get that much rain in Los Angeles. But, I’m really happy with the one I bought. And as you can see, my style is a little different from the others. I decided to stick with one of my favorite color combos and mix prints while I was at it. Below, you’ll see a complete head-to-toe look of my raincoat themed outfit.
What I’m wearing: Junarose Rain Cape (sold out), Forever 21 Plus Size Mesh-Paneled Sweatshirt, Lane Bryant 6th & Lane Destructed Boyfriend Jean (similar here), Jeffrey Campbell Stormy Rain Boots, Crafty Chica Clay Rose Ring, and kate spade new york Striped Bubble Umbrella.
Thank you Latina Magazine for allowing me to be a part of the April 2016 issue! If you run across the feature, please feel free to tweet me @curvesandchaos. The issue will hit news stands on March 8, 2016.
