It’s time for real talk guys. I’m no makeup pro by any means. I was that teenager whose mom didn’t allow her to wear makeup until she was a senior in high school. So I did what any teen would do, I snuck it on at school then took it off before I got home. And that was just lipstick and powder. In fact, I really never had anyone teach me how to wear it. Everything I know today is through learning from others. Oh hey beauty guru angels! So, when Blushington offered to do my makeup, I was practically in tears of joy. OK, maybe not that serious, but I was really happy to check them out!
Blushington is a makeup and beauty lounge for all of your makeup and beauty needs. They provide professional, affordable makeup applications and esthetician services. They even offer eyelash extensions, brow services and makeup lessons. Their artists are available seven days a week in store or on the go, anywhere, anytime. They have locations in California, Texas, and New York. I visited their West Hollywood, California location. It is so chic! Take a look inside here.
I scheduled my appointment on a Friday morning, because I had a luncheon to attend that day. I requested the full face makeup application. I made sure to show up with a moisturized, but makeup-free face. My makeup artist was Marissa (who is awesome by the way) and she immediately asked me what kind of look I was going for. They have signature makeup looks you can choose from, but I decided to go with my own—a bright and fun spring glow. Complete with a killer cat-eye, glitter rose gold eye shadow, faux lashes, and a raspberry stained lip.
Not only did I LOVE my look, but I loved that Marissa made sure to check with me and offer suggestions for almost every step. I even requested that she use cruelty-free beauty products, which she did. I never once felt uneasy or pressured to try something I wasn’t comfortable with.
The final look was everything I wanted and more. The entire process took no more than a hour and it lasted ALL day. Probably because she used a primer and a full coverage foundation. Yes, even the eye liner made it. I didn’t even have to use my powder…once! And if I wanted to buy any of the products they used on my face (including the makeup brushes), I have the option to purchase it. Let’s just say I walked out with a new Beautyblender and a huge smile on my face. Doing my own makeup was the last thing I had to worry about on this day.
Are you a Blushington customer? Would you ever consider visiting them?
