The struggle that is plus size fashion has been one that we are way too familiar with. I will admit that today, compared to when I first started blogging in 2010, we have a lot more clothing options. Yet, a lot of us are still feeling like we are left out. That’s why I’m am so happy to be able to share with you one of the latest plus size clothing launches from JCPenney—Boutique+. Available exclusively at JCPenney, in-stores and online, their new collection is chic with a contemporary edge. I’m sure there is a little something for almost every body at some pretty decent prices.
You may have also heard that JCPenney has teamed up with plus-size fashion designer and winner of season 14 of Project Runway, Ashley Nell Tipton. She will serve as brand ambassador and design two upcoming capsule collections later this year. This is definitely a unique collaboration that I am looking forward to. I’ve had a chance to meet and chat with Ashely on a few occasions and she is someone that is super passionate about dressing the plus size woman.
I was able to try out a few pieces from the Boutique+ collection. Warning…I haven’t worn a cold-shoulder top in probably ever…so I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to style it my way. And let’s be honest, this isn’t a color I wear too often. But, of course I made sure to let my inner boho babe shine through and I rocked it with one of my favorite lightweight scarves. And you know they had me at destructed denim. I’m such a sucker for these kind of jeans. This is definitely an outfit I plan on rocking in warmer weather.
What I’m wearing: Boutique+ Short-Sleeve Cold Shoulder Ruffle Top – Plus and Boutique+™ Destructed Skinny Cropped Jeans – Plus.
I am looking forward to seeing what Ashley brings to JCPenney’s Boutique+ collection! Are you?
