I want to say I have a confession, but I think you guys know me well enough to know that I’m kinda sorta obsessed with sports. Just a little bit…OK…a lot. I don’t know where it comes from. But, there’s just something about the passion, drive, and competitiveness of athletes that I truly admire and respect. So, when Toyota invited me to attend the Chris Paul Family Foundation Celebrity Server dinner, I could not say YES fast enough.
Not only would I be on hand as they raise money and awareness for this amazing foundation, but I would get a chance to be served dinner and drinks by some pretty awesome athletes and celebs. Let’s just say, I was looking forward to this event from the minute I was invited.
Before I even headed to the dinner, I had to get myself a cozy cocktail dress. This Rachel Rachel Roy Velvet Burnout Faux-Wrap Dress was the one. Come on guys…I had to look good driving to Beverly Hills in the NEW 2017 Toyota Prius Prime they let me borrow for the week. FYI, this is the Prius of all Prius’…but that’s just my opinion.
Don’t mind my Prius selfie. Let’s get back to the dinner. Our celebrity servers included Chris Paul (L.A. Clippers), Doc Rivers (L.A. Clippers Coach), Steve Ballmer (L.A. Clippers Owner), Sam Cassell (NBA), Marcellus Wiley (NFL/ESPN), Kevin Frazier (Entertainment Tonight), LL Cool J (Rapper/Actor), Rachel Nichols (ESPN), Nischelle Turner (co-host of Entertainment Tonight), Allyson Felix (2016 Olympic Gold Medalist) and Diamond Stone (Los Angeles Clippers). And yes…I snapped a selfie with LL Cool J! Sigh…
