One of the major perks of this life I live, is my ability to travel. Sometimes my trips are “so-so” and sometimes they are “ahhhmazing.” Then you have travel experiences that leave you in awe of your experience. From the hotel you stay in to the people you get to spend your time with. That was this last trip as a guest of Kia in the heart of Texas—San Antonio.
I love San Antonio, I really do. But, every time I visit, I don’t get to see too much of it. I’m always stuck in a hotel. This time, thanks to Kia, I had a chance to see a little of the city and it’s surrounding roads in their new hybrid crossover SUV the Kia Niro. You’ve seen in it the commercials with Melissa McCarthy haven’t you? Cutest little hybrid you ever did see. Now, I did leave my cowboy hats and boots at home, but I still felt the western charm every where I went. And it was a great drive!
Everyone will tell you that you can’t visit San Antonio without a visit to the Riverwalk or the Alamo. I totally agree. Now, I’d love to add that you can not visit without a stay at Hotel Emma. This was the Kia Niro headquarters and my home sweet home for a few days. I have to admit it is hands down, one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Not only for it’s history (read that here), but for it’s stunningly good looks. As you’ll see in my millions of photos below.
Located in the up-and-coming historical Pearl District, this hotel used to be a brewery and lives right on the Riverwalk. But, it’s separated enough that you don’t get the touristy crowd. From the minute you step inside, you’re in awe of every room you’re in and there’s something special around every corner. Go ahead and take a look below.
In the meantime, I need to figure out a way to get my butt back to San Antonio.
Last but not least…you can’t end a Kia event without a party.
