It seems like no matter the season, our skin has it’s work cut out for it. This summer is no different. In these scorching L.A. streets, I will definitely show a lot more skin than usual. And not just in the streets…at the beach…by the pool…or just being outside period. Because of all of the exposure, I try to treat my summer skin with some nourishing beauty products. You know, stuff that’s good for my skin. Here are some of my latest beauty finds that I just had to share with all of you.
Always a DERMAE fan, I was excited and a teeny tiny bit skeptical to try their Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil. I’ve never used oil to clean my face..I know I know. I actually tried my favorite makeup removing wipes first, then went in with the oil. And yeah, I was shocked. It removed makeup that the wipes didn’t take off. Now, I don’t even reach for the wipes. I only use this and my face feels soft and looks a little dewy after I use it. And there’s an amazing rose scent that is not overwhelming. It’s made with Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil, which are already skin favorites. Perfect way to cleanse your face after a long hot day.
They had me “Mircodermbrasion Scrub.” You already know that I’m a fan of face scrubs. I feel like they are essential to my skin routine. Especially in the summer when I have a lot more makeup free days than usual. First, I wish this post was scratch and sniff, because this has a sweet lemon scent to it. And it doesn’t have to only be used on the face. It can be used on any part of the body you want to get smooth and soft. The exclusive formula uses a “crystal blend including Dead Sea Salt to help buff away dull surface cells, help to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, and absorb excess skin oils.” It’s definitely becoming a part of my beauty routine.
First, I must tell you that I’m not much of a “I’m just going to relax in the bath tub” kind of person. But, I know plenty of people who are. And we all know if you are, then you love yourself a good soak. I really wanted to share Treets Traditions Nourishing Spirits Bath Fizzers with you. They “are based on the tradition of cleaning and purifying with soda. We have added the traditional African Kalahari melon oil and Baobab oil to help moisturize, protect and nourish dry skin.” Perfect way to unwind after a hot and humid day. It leaves you with this amazing clean scent and feeling soft.
Imagine your shower gel but in the form of a hair mousse. That’s exactly what I thought of when I laid my hands on this Treets Traditions Nourishing Spirits Foaming Shower Gel. As you’ll see in the pic, you get a rich and soft foam. I will warn, you won’t get a luxurious lather, if that’s your thing. But, it does leave you feeling and smelling clean. It’s made with traditional African Baobab oil to help improve the skins condition and Kalahari melon which has strong antioxidants to help protect the skin.
Sometimes your summer skin just needs a refreshing moment. Give your face a spray of this Mario Badescu Facial Spray on either a makeup free face or add it to your already existing face of makeup for a glow. It’s perfect for dehydrated skin! “Infused with herbal and botanical extracts (like Aloe Vera, Gardenia, Rose, Bladderwrack and Thyme.” Hold on…just gave myself a few spritz. I’m not even joking. Anyways, I got this as part of a birthday gift and it’s probably one of my favorites right now.
