The minute I received the invite to be a part of the St. Jude Blogger program, I felt blessed and grateful. I love hearing my mom and dad tell stories about me when I was little. I was an independent, animal loving, cartoon watching, and Cabbage Patch holding kind of kid. Always smiling and playing with my cousins, I guess you can say I was a typical child. Although, my mom might say otherwise. Like all kids, I didn’t have a care in the world, other than to be a kid. Let’s get this out in the open. I’m not the athlete I used to be. In fact, I barely work out anymore. But, that didn’t stop me from signing up to walk a 5K in Nashville, all while raising money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I have this best friend who loves to run marathons. She’s pretty good at it too. I always tell myself that I would love to run in one, but this bum ankle has it’s own ideas. Anyways, Mrs. Marathon Runner asked me to join her in Nashville as she ran the Rock’n’Roll marathon in April. You know, to cheer her on, support her, and of course get our Nashville on.
